I look forward to the day on the other side
Fully unified and present with all on this cosmic ride
I look forward to seeing friends and strangers who are now friends
I look forward to having communion with Adam and Eve,
Moses and Rahab, Daniel and Ezekiel, Joseph and Mary,
Peter and Paul, Origen and Iranaeus, Augustine and Cassian,
St. John and St. Theresa, Karl Barth and Henri Nouwen,
St. Silouan and Thomas Merton, Teilhard de Chardin and
Lesslie Newbigin and all the saints from past to present to
future. I hold the future as I hold onto Christ or better, the future
holds me in the cup of its hands.
