Jesus Hidden in the Lion's Den
We know Jesus was the fourth man with Daniel's three friends in the fire of the furnace.
Is it possible in the tomb of the lions den Jesus was with Daniel hidden and not on the surface?
Can the whole life of Jesus be contained in the book of Daniel?
The life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus hidden deep in God's manual?
Daniel is preferred above the King's men (Dan.6:3).
Jesus is preferred above John the Baptist who was his kin (Jn.1:15).
Can this be a veiled prophecy?
Revelations of God buried deep in secrecy?
The Kings men sought to kill Daniel was the plan (Dan.6:4)
The chief priests and religious leaders sought to kill Jesus the man (Mk.14:55)
But the rulers of Babylon plan backfired.
And Jesus rose from the dead for in his divinity he was hotwired.
The foolish leaders could find no fault or error in him (Dan.6:4)
Pilate examined Jesus and saw in him no sin.
Even though Daniel knew the traps set before him, he prayed toward Jerusalem (Dan.6:10)
Christ knew his fate and set his face towards the new Jerusalem (Lk.9:53)
Daniel kneeled and prayed three times a day (Dan.6:10)
Jesus prayed in the garden three times and there was no more to say (Matt.26:44)
The King was saddened and wanted Daniel to be delivered (Dan.6:14)
Jesus was an innocent man and Pilate sought a way to release him and shivered ((Jn.19:12)
The Kings men cast Daniel into the lions den to watch him die on (Dan.6:16)
The Psalms speaks of the Messiah saved from the jaws of the lions (Ps.22:21)
They put a large stone on the mouth of the den (Dan.6:17)
They rolled a great stone in a borrowed tomb Christ was lend (Matt.27:60)
So Daniel was taken up and saved by God (Dan.6:23)
And Jesus disciples watched Jesus taken up while all the angels applaud (Acts 1:9)
God answered Daniel's prayer and he was vindicated.
The resurrection was Jesus vindication, just like the prophets predicted.

Paradise Now: God's Heavenly Dance on Earth
We have been stumbling in the darkness after being banished from Eden. Paradise in many people minds is about going to heaven after one dies. But God offers paradise on earth in the here and now. The beauty of God's creation surrounds us with lyrical rhythms of the Spirit of God. There is a kind of heavenly dance happening on earth and you are invited to the dance.
When one starts dancing with the Spirit, everything begins to spiral in a different direction. What was uninteresting now is engaging and what once captured our attention does not even get a passing glance anymore. Reading the Bible is not even the same. People may have caught a connection between the "Son of Man" title that Jesus grabs hold of but miss the deeper dimensions of the whole background of Daniel's use of numbers pregnant with hidden meaning as well as one in exile.
We have become so accustomed to captivity that many of us do not even know we are prisoners anymore. But the prophet Daniel is not just a book connected to Jesus and Mark's Gospel but also to the book of Revelation with all its hidden symbols and mystery. The Song of Solomon breaks forth in songs in each of these books as they all in one great musical orchestra play deep echoes of moving from exile back to Eden or paradise now.
Daniel, Revelation, Mark, and the Song of Solomon are four books with a rich tapestry and deep dimensions. The multiplicity reveals the singular path and face of Christ. The path may be hidden but deep within the framework and structures of these books they overlap and are there. The very structure of these books and the movements ordered by the Spirit can only be seen when one joins God in the heavenly dance that ends with a great wedding feast for all.
